About the event
GenINFINITY-ENGAGE is an annual key flagship event of Bank of Singapore specially curated for the younger family members of our clients. This next generation programme is about engaging them, to help them develop more well-rounded knowledge in the areas of finance, investments, wealth planning and leadership, as well as sharpen their awareness of cross-cultural differences and the latest trends in technology. These young participants will also benefit from networking opportunities, which will help them build networks of value in the future and prepare them for the future.
About our speakers
Alex Terol
Alex Terol has been with Bloomberg since 2015. Currently Based in Singapore, he has a decade of collective experience in the field of data analytics, industry engagement, and fund management. Alex holds a Masters in Business Commerce from UWS Sydney, Australia and a Bachelors in Arts in Diplomacy from DLS CSB, Philippines.
Caroline Wihono
Founder and creative conceptor of CW Jewels is the 4th generation of jewelers. Coming from a family specialising in the field of sourcing for quality gems and craftsmanship, CW Jewels started off as a home business focused on bespoke designs for customers. Fast forward to 5 years since its initial inception, the jeweller’s business has taken off and a substantial number of CW Jewels’ signature collections have found their way into high net worth customers’ homes.
Karl Mak
Karl Mak co-founded SGAG, a content distribution platform which has reached 2 million young Singaporeans every month to date since 2014. Their success has achieved recognition on a local and global scale, with Forbes recently featuring both Karl and Adrian in its “30 Under 30 Asia” 2017 list. With this inspiring accolade, Karl and Adrian are part of the pool of game changers this decade who have demonstrated leadership and disruption in their field.
Rachel Lim
Co-founder of Love Bonito first started off as a blogshop selling imported clothes, with the team venturing into designing its own items in 2011. Their first collection featured on their website was such a success that it reportedly crashed. Today their business has expanded into a full-fledged ecommerce site with physical stores across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Cambodia.
Annabelle Chiong
Annabelle’s primary areas of focus are investing in early stage startups, helping portfolio companies to grow and engaging with corporates to uncover areas of collaboration with startups. Annabelle’s interests lie in unlocking the potential of founders and making a positive impact through technology. Her experience in scaling startups was honed during her time at Grab where she was an early employee and started two new business units which saw tremendous growth. Prior to joining the startup world, she was an investment professional at several banks, including J.P. Morgan and Citi. She holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, First Class Honours, from Imperial College London in United Kingdom.
Victor Tan
Victor is currently part of SGInnovate’s Venture Investing team in Singapore and concurrently manages investments and operations in North America. SGInnovate is focused on enabling entrepreneurs in Singapore to build start-ups with a strong emphasis on science and deep technology. As a private organization owned by the Singapore Government, they bring together partners from the private sector, institutes of higher learning, and research organizations as part of Singapore's broader ecosystem of innovation.
