Vincent Choo
Vincent Choo is currently the interim CEO for Bank of Singapore.
He has been the member of the Bank of Singapore Board of Directors since 2014. Vincent was previously the group chief risk officer for OCBC Bank from 2014 to 2022. As Chief Risk Officer, he covered the full spectrum of risk, including Credit, Technology and Information Security, Liquidity, Market and Operational Risk Management.
He reported jointly to both OCBC Group CEO and the Board Risk Management Committee of OCBC Bank. Mr Choo joined OCBC Bank from Deutsche Bank AG where his last appointment was Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer for Asia Pacific.
He is a Director of Bank of Ningbo Ltd and a member of Management Board of NUS Risk Management Institute.
He holds a Master of Arts in Economics from University of Akron, United States.
Chad Hutchinson
Chad Hutchinson is a Partner of Arctos Sports Partners. He is on the investment committee and directs the firm’s. investment strategy, sourcing, executing, and managing investments for the firm.
Prior to joining Arctos Sports Partners, Chad was a Managing Director at Sixth Street, a global investment firm operating across nine platforms including growth investing, adjacencies, direct lending, fundamental public strategies, infrastructure, special situations, agriculture, and par liquid credit. At Sixth Street, Chad built the agriculture business from an idea to a dedicated platform with its own dedicated fund. He managed the sourcing, partnerships, deal execution and operations of the agricultural fund. In addition, he was also responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and execution of other opportunistic investments in specialty finance, growth equity and structured solutions.
Before starting his finance career in 2006, Chad had an illustrious career as a professional sports athlete, spanning 8 years. He began his career pitching for the St. Louis Cardinals organization from 1998 – 2001, and then transitioned to professional football playing for the Dallas Cowboys in 2002 & 2003, and the Chicago Bears in 2004 & 2005.
Chad graduated from Stanford University, where he received a BA in Political Science. He played both baseball and football for Stanford University from 1995 – 1998.
Professor David Daokui Li
David Daokui Li is a prominent Chinese economist and a top advisor to Chinese senior leaders, having served on the Monetary Policy Committee of China’s central bank.
Currently, he serves as the Mansfield Freeman Chair Professor of the Department of Finance of the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University. He is also the Director of Center for China in the World Economy (CCWE) at the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University.
As a leading Chinese economist, Professor Li is active in policy advising and discussions. He is a former member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Committee (CPPCC) and the Sino-German Economic Advisory Council.
He previously served on China’s Monetary Policy Committee and was an external advisor to the International Monetary Fund.
Professor Li holds a B.S. and Ph.D. in Economics from Tsinghua University and Harvard University, respectively
Eli Lee
Eli Lee is Head of Investment Strategy at Bank of Singapore and he plays a central role in developing asset allocation and thematic strategies across global asset classes for the Bank.
He is a key member of Bank of Singapore’s investment committee, which determines the Group’s overall investment strategy and direction, and serves as a member of the OCBC Group Wealth Panel. He also previously led the Special Situations Research team at OCBC Investment Research.
As an investment thought leader, Eli’s independent perspectives are often sought after by international media, including the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and CNBC. With close to two decades of industry experience, Eli began his investment career at the Wellington Management Company in Boston.
He graduated from Harvard University with an MA in Statistics.
Jean Chia
Jean chia is a Bank of Singapore's CIO, responsible for the house view across Macroeconomics, Investment Strategy, FX, Equity & Fixed Income Research, as well as Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM), Advisory Portfolio Management (APM) and Funds Selection teams at Bank of Singapore.
She is a member of the board of directors for BOS International Funds, Luxemborg and a member of the OCBC Wealth Panel.
Jean has over 20 years of experience in Private Banking and Asset Management. Prior to her current role, she was previously Head, Equities Advisory & Sales, responsible for the equities and derivatives business at Bank of Singapore, and Head of Client Advisory Services for Equities, Investment Products & Services at UBS Wealth Management, Singapore.
Prior to UBS, she was Vice President, Head of Grassroots Research at Allianz Dresdner Asset Management (now known as Allianz Global Investors).
Jean graduated with an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from University of Oxford, UK. She holds a Sustainable Finance certification from Cambridge Institute of Sustainable Leadership (CISL).
Jean is currently a Financial Women’s Association of Singapore (FWA) Female Champion and an Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) Fellow for Private Banking and Wealth Management.
Professor Kishore Mahbubani
Kishore Mahbubani is widely considered to be one of Asia’s leading global public intellectuals, having appeared several times in Foreign Policy Magazine’s list of top 100 global thinkers. In 2014, he was also listed by The Financial Times as one of the 50 individuals who would shape the debate on the future of capitalism.
Perhaps the best summary of Kishore’s contributions was made in the citation for the US Foreign Policy Association Medal he received in June 2004: “a gifted diplomat, a student of history and philosophy, a provocative writer and an intuitive thinker.”
Kishore has enjoyed three distinguished careers: in diplomacy, academia, and writing and speaking. In diplomacy, he served in the Singapore Foreign Service for 33 years (serving also as permanent secretary (CEO) of the foreign ministry and two stints as Singapore’s Ambassador to the UN). In academia, he was the Founding Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS which is deemed to be the premier school in Asia in its field.
He has also received many awards. In 1967, he was awarded the President Scholar. He was conferred the Public Administration Medal (Gold) by the Singapore Government in 1998. He was also given the 2003–2004 Dr Jean Mayer Global Citizenship Award by the Institute for Global Leadership (IGL) at Tufts University. In April 2019, he was the second Singaporean to be elected as an honorary international member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Mansoor Mohi-uddin
Mansoor is a macroeconomist and financial market strategist with two decades experience covering institutional investors around the world. Mansoor speaks to policymakers and central bankers and maintains links with think-tanks in Washington and Beijing. He appears on CNBC and Bloomberg Television, his work features in The Economist and he has written for the Financial Times.
Mansoor was most recently at the Royal Bank of Scotland’s investment arm, NatWest Markets, where he was the Asia region's Macro Strategist and previously the bank’s Global Head of FX Strategy. Prior to joining RBS, Mansoor spent 17 years at UBS in London, Zurich and Singapore where he was also Global Head of FX Strategy
from 2002 to 2014. Mansoor holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics.
He was tutored by Professor Charles Goodhart, a former Chief Adviser at the Bank of England.
Pak-Seng Lai
Pak-Seng Lai is the Head of Private Wealth Distribution APAC of Blue Owl Capital.
Prior to Blue Owl, he was Managing Director and Head of Private Markets APAC of UBS AG.
Pak-Seng has more than 20 years of experience in global private equity investments in US, Europe and Asia. He was Managing Partner of two China private equity funds.
Prior to that, he was Head of Asia and Managing Director of HQ Capital, a global alternative investment firm. Prior
to HQ Capital, he was Head of Investment Process at Schroder Adveq, a global private equity fund of funds
based in Switzerland.
Previously, he held positions at Transpac Capital and Singapore Technologies, where he was primarily engaged in private equity investments in Asia. He also worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore.
Robert Reid
Robert Reid is a Managing Director and the Global Head of Alternative Investments and Managed Solutions at the Bank of Singapore.
Prior to joining the Bank of Singapore, Robert was a Managing Director at BlackRock, most recently serving the firm and its clients as Country Head for both Hong Kong and Taiwan, having joined the firm more than eight years before as the Head of Strategy and Chief Operating Officer for BlackRock’s iShares/ ETF business in Asia.
Robert has more than 30 years of experience in professional & financial services in Asia, having served in senior leadership roles with P&L responsibility for global asset management and sell-side firms.
Robert originally qualified as a corporate finance solicitor at Linklaters, specialising in public and private M&A transactions for nearly 10 years, before moving to McKinsey & Company and then CLSA, serving the firm in multiple leadership positions including as Head of M&A, Head of Corporate Strategy and COO and Country Head for Australia.
Tai Hui
Tai Hui, managing director, is the Chief Market Strategist at J.P. Morgan, Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong.
With 20 years of experience, Tai formulates and disseminates J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s views on the markets, economy and investing to financial advisors and investors in the Asia region. With his knowledge and experience, he is able to explain and illustrate complex economic and financial issues in a digestible way, primarily via the Market Insights program.
He also regularly appears on international and local financial media, including as a guest host on CNBC Asia, as well as Bloomberg TV and Reuters TV.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2012, Tai served as the Regional Head of Research (Asia) with Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, covering the economic and financial development of the Asia region, and delivering his analysis to corporate and institutional clients.
Tai obtained a BA in Economics from Cambridge University and a Master of International and Public Affairs from the University of Hong Kong.
Yvonne Chan
Yvonne Chan is a multi-hyphenate – a versatile news presenter and skilled moderator with 20 years of hosting live events and moderating panel discussions. She has led many high-profile conversations including ministerial forums discussing issues in geopolitics, finance, renewable energy, and topics related to ESG and sustainability.
Most recently, she was the moderator for a discussion on the new economy featuring philanthropist and former New York City mayor, Mr Michael Bloomberg, and senior management of UBS Group. She has chaired many keynote dialogues for the finance sector featuring speakers such as Singapore minister for manpower, Mr Tan See Leng, Speaker of Parliament, Mr Tan Chuan Jin, and Mr Ravi Menon, MD of the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Yvonne was also the host and moderator for a series of conversations with the PAP in an online programme titled, STRAIGHT TALK with PAP, during Singapore's General Elections 2020 period. In this series, she interviewed senior ministers and the party's new candidates about a wide range of issues and topics concerning Singaporeans.
Prior to switching careers to the media industry, Yvonne was a Management Associate with HSBC Singapore before moving on to work at HSBC London’s group management office.
She graduated with a degree in Economics (Hons) from the National University of Singapore.
